The first sign wasn't tiredness. It was the dread on Sunday at 4pm.
I wasn't sleeping badly. I wasn't even working too hard most days. But around four on Sunday afternoon, my body would start preparing for the week the way it might prepare for a difficult conversation. Naps fixed the tiredness when it came later. The Sunday dread needed a different conversation — about what I was actually carrying that I didn't want to.
